SCHENECTADY, N.Y. (NEWS10) -- The Kids Arts Festival is returning to Schenectady for its 29th year. The event is being held on Saturday, June 3. Get the latest, news, weather, sports and community events delivered right to your inbox! The event will take place along the Jay Street pedestrian walkway and in the area around City Hall. There will be all kinds of activities, including face painting, necklace making, a scavenger hunt, instrument making, a petting zoo, a fashion show, and tons more. Kids will have the chance to help create a community weaving project and interact with a selfie station that will be used for the Schenectady County SummerNight on July 14. (NEWS10) -- A Delmar man was arrested on Friday for allegedly providing false information in a written statement during an investigation into the structure fire at Equinox Court in Delmar. Bethlehem Police say an investigation into the fire revealed Miranda was smoking a marijuana cigarette in the courtyard near buildings number nine and number 11 at Equinox Court, resulting in the ignition of dried lawn debris. ST. LOUIS -- The Missouri State Highway Patrol has been busy on St. Louis highways. They worked with the St. Louis Police Department Thursday on an I-70 law enforcement operation. They pulled over a total of 100 vehicles and made several arrests.Four troopers conducted 44 traffic stops. They conducted 10 arrests, issued 87 citations, and 23 warnings.Seven St. Louis Police officers conducted 56 traffic stops and issued 179 citations. They pulled over seven semi trucks for driving in the fast lane.The two law enforcement agencies worked together in May to conduct a similar operation. It is not clear if they will continue to conduct the traffic stops through the weekend. CAHOKIA, Ill. - Miami Dolphins star and Metro East native Terron Armstead will host a celebrity basketball tournament Friday in his hometown Cahokia. Many Dolphins teammates, including Tyreek Hill and Tua Tagovailoa, are expected to join Armstead for the tournament Friday evening at Cahokia Senior High School. Missouri doughnut shop among best 100 in the country, according to Yelp Community members are invited to attend. Tip-off is set for 7 p.m. Armstead is hosting the tournament through his Team Armstead Foundation, which aims to help youth develop sportsmanship, character and team skills.
