PARIS (AP) — Tens of thousands marched as protests and strikes against unpopular pension reforms gripped France again Tuesday, with police ramping up security after the government warned that radical demonstrators intended “to destroy, to injure and to kill.” Concerns that violence could mar the demonstrations prompted what Interior Minister Gérald Darmanin described as an unprecedented deployment of 13,000 officers, nearly half of them concentrated in the French capital, where police faced down ultra-leftist radicals.In a sign that protests may be losing a little steam, sanitation workers in Paris announced that they are suspending their more than three-week-long strike that has left piles of stinking garbage uncollected on the capital’s streets. LINDENHURST, N.Y. (WPIX) – A 13-year-old boy was stabbed in the hallway of a Long Island, New York, middle school and airlifted to a hospital, police and a district official said Monday.Suffolk County police were called to Lindenhurst Middle School around 12:30 p.m. The boy was stabbed in the leg near the upper groin area by a 12-year-old male student, according to police. The victim was airlifted to a local hospital in critical but stable condition, police said. The boy lost a lot of blood and underwent surgery at the hospital, authorities said.The stabbing happened in the second-floor hallway during a dispute between the two students, which is currently under investigation, according to Suffolk County Police Deputy Inspector Sean Beran.Eighth-grade student Lucas Leguizamon told WPIX he saw the stabbing."I was going to my class and there was a kid and they were fighting. Honda is recalling more than 330,000 vehicles because heating pads behind both side-view mirrors may not be bonded properly, which could lead to the mirror glass falling out and increase the risk of a crash.Vehicles included in the recall are 2020-2022 Odyssey, 2020-2022 Passport, 2020-2021 Pilot and 2020-2021 Ridgeline. ELGIN, Texas (KXAN) — Parents in Elgin ISD sid they were shocked to see spoiled milk being served to their kids in school cafeterias.“Just seeing it grosses me out,” an Elgin ISD parent who wished to remain anonymous told KXAN.Parents in the district reached out to KXAN after they said there have been multiple issues with spoiled milk. Garza is being asked to fill the city manager role after council and the mayor voted to part ways with former city manager Spencer Cronk last month. The body expressed concern about Cronk's handling of the February winter storm and police contract negotiations, among other issues."While I understand that change can lead to some anxiety, in the end the way we grow, the way we develop is to be challenged," Garza said. "If you're comfortable being challenged, you're going to be absolutely alright in this new structure." Coaldale RCMP- updateCoalhurst, Alta. – On March 27, 2023, at approximately 8:50 a.m., Coaldale RCMP were dispatched to a motor vehicle collision on Township Road 10-2 and Range Road 232, north west of Coalhurst. The collision was between a school bus and a pick-up.It has been determined that there were further injuries as a result of this collision. The bus driver suffered serious injuries, but it is expected that they will make a full recovery. One child was taken to hospital and suffered a concussion as a result of the collision. At the time of the collision there were 18 kids on the bus.A 25-year-old male, a resident of Coalhurst, has been charged with failing to obey a yield sign under the Traffic Safety Act.
